Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reacted to rumours linking Real Madrid forward Rodrygo to the club.
Ruomurs continue to grow about the future of the Brazilian winger ahead of the summer transfer window and the arrival of new manager Xabi Alonso.
Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s final match of the season, Arteta says the club is looking to add attacking players to the squad in the summer.
The Spanish manager also added that the club is at a point where it needs to win trophies next season.
Arteta says everyone now respects Arsenal as a top club and the addition of few players will help the club reach its aim.
“I won’t name any specific player but we have brought the club into a position that next season, you HAVE to win a major trophy. Everybody believes that we are an elite team in this country and in Europe. Arsenal is there, We have to add goals, creativity, and we have to add numbers, and that will be in different positions”.
Arsenal will end the 2024/2025 Premier League season trophyless for the fifth consecutive season.
However, Gunners had an impressive run in the UEFA Champions League as they crashed out in the semi-finals.
Paris Saint-Germain knocked out Arsenal 3-1 on aggregate to set up a first-time European final meeting with Inter Milan.
