Mo Salah joins elite club of African players to win the Premier League multiple times

Mohamed Salah has further etched his name into footballing history by joining an exclusive group of African players who have won the Premier League title more than once after Liverpool were confirmed champions of England after a huge victory against Tottenham on Sunday evening.

The Egyptian superstar, already considered one of the greatest African players of all time, has added another accolade to his glittering career by securing multiple Premier League winners’ medals.

Salah, who first lifted the Premier League trophy with Liverpool in the 2019–20 season, has now added another title, reinforcing his status among the continent’s football elite.

In doing so, Salah joins a select list of African greats who have tasted Premier League glory on multiple occasions. This list includes the likes of Didier Drogba, who won the league four times with Chelsea; Yaya Touré, a key figure in Manchester City’s title-winning sides; and Riyad Mahrez, who triumphed with Leicester City and later with Manchester City multiple times.

Throughout his time at Liverpool, Salah has been a model of consistency and brilliance.

Since joining the Reds from AS Roma in 2017, he has broken record after record, becoming the club’s all-time leading scorer in the Premier League and winning numerous individual awards, including multiple Golden Boots.
