Former Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa has expressed profound sorrow over the recent killing of 16 northern travelers in Edo State.
The incident occurred on March 28, 2025, in the Udune Efandion community of Uromi, Esan South East Local Government Area, when a mob attacked the travelers following false accusations of kidnapping.
Musa condemned the act in an Instagram post today, describing it as a lack of compassion and humanity. “May their souls rest in peace. May their families receive strength and may we as a people remember that humanity comes first”, he stated.
This tragic event underscores the persistent issue of mob violence in Nigeria, often fueled by unverified allegations. The Edo State Police Command has responded by arresting 14 suspects linked to the killings and has launched a comprehensive investigation to bring all perpetrators to justice.
