The Nigeria Football Federation has expressed its sympathy on the death of the mother of Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali.
The football governing body shared a tweet to announce the death of Nwabali’s mother on Wednesday night.
“Our heartfelt condolences to Stanley Nwabali on the loss of his mother. Stay strong, Stanley. sending you strength and support during this difficult time. You are not alone; we are all with you.”
Stanley Nwabali announced the death of his mother in a tweet via his official X page.
“Rip mom, worst year of my life already 😢💔”
The Super Eagles goalkeeper had earlier hinted on losing someone close via a tweet he posted minutes before he announced his mother’s death.
“A very very crazy world indeed 🕯💔”
Stanley Nwabali’s mother’s death comes about 47 days after the death of his father.
The nature of her death has not been made public as of the time of filing this report.
