Africa’s best women’s goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie had an outstanding performance on Sunday afternoon as Brighton and Hove Albion kicked Arsenal out of the Women’s FA Cup.
The Super Falcons goalkeeper was in goal for the duration of the match as the Gunners suffered a 2-0 defeat in front of their home fans.
Nnadozie made three crucial saves and kept a clean sheet as the visitors sealed a two-nil victory over Arsenal to progress to the semis.
Madison Haley and Caitlin Hayes found the back of the net in the second half to help the Seagulls reach the last four of the competition for the third time in the history of the competition.
For a place in the final, Nnadozie’s Brighton and Hove Albion will face off against Chelsea or Tottenham.
The win over Arsenal comes less than 24 hours after the men’s first team also crashed out of the competition after a 2-1 loss to Southampton.
