Super Eagles goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye has declared that the team will give its best to secure maximum points in their crucial World Cup qualifier against Amavubi of Rwanda.
The team, led by coach Eric Chelle, are well aware that anything less than a win will severely dent their hopes of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The crucial match is set to take place in Uyo this Saturday. The Super Eagles will be under immense pressure to deliver a victory, especially after being held to a disappointing 1-1 home draw by Zimbabwe in their last fixture.
Adeleye stated that the team cannot afford another negative result against Adel Amrouche’s side.
Speaking to reporters, Adeleye was confident in the team’s readiness.
“We are ready for Rwanda, they must fall. Everybody is ready for the game. We know what’s at stake, and we can’t play with this opportunity.”
The match marks Adeleye’s return to the national squad after he missed out on a place in the team for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
