Matchday 22 fixtures of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) continued in four different venues across Nigeria today.
Rangers International FC hosted Ikorodu City FC at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu as they returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory courtesy of goals from Godwin Obaje and an own goal by Victor Ekujah.
Bendel Insurance faced Katsina United FC in Benim City with a 26th minute goal by Julius Emiloju separating the two sides in a competitive encounter.
Kwara United played hosts to El-Kanemi Warriors in a fixture that held significant importance for both teams. Kwara United capitalized on home advantage with the game ending 2-0 in favour of the hosts. Wasiu Alalade and Wasiu Jimoh were the scorers for Kwara United in the 39th and 89th minute respectively.
However, same could not be said for Lobi Stars as they suffered a crushing home loss to Enyimba. The hosts were unable to find an answer to the goal scored by Ifeanyi Ihemekwele in the 38th minute as the visitors returned to Aba with all three points.
Matchday 22 ended with Remo Stars on top of the log with 45 points, eight more than Shooting Stars who are second while Rivers United sit third with 35 points.
