Coach of Super Eagles team B – the CHAN Eagles, Daniel Ogunmodede is hopeful of the CHAN Eagles getting a good draw ahead of the African Nations Championship draw later this month.
The Remo Stars head coach made this remark in a recent chat with Brila Media ahead of the commencement of training for the competition which starts on February 1st.
He also added that training will commence with more than a handful of players that helped in securing qualification for the tournament last month.
“We are starting training, almost with all of them. We resumed then start training,” he said.
“We are open to a favorable draw.”
The CHAN Eagles defeated the Black Galaxies of Ghana 3-1 on aggregate to qualify for the competition for the first time since 2018.
The first leg in Accra ended goalless but the CHAN Eagles outclassed their rivals in a dominant display in Uyo.
The draw for the 2025 African Nations Championship will hold in Nairobi, Kenya on January 15.
The 2025 African Nations Championship will be hosted in three East African countries: Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda from February 1.
