Super Eagles legend John Obi Mikel says Victor Osimhen is still keen on joining Chelsea this summer, but has other options.
The Nigerian striker was previously linked to Chelsea in the final stages of last summer’s transfer window, but the Blues were unable to agree a deal for the red-hot striker.
Osimhen ended up joining Galatasaray on loan from Napoli, where he has scored 28 goals in 32 appearances.
Chelsea could re-ignite their interest in the Nigerian as they look for a solution to their long-term goalscoring issues.
The Blues are considering Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap, who has a £30 million relegation release clause in his deal, but Obi Mikel wants Osimhen at Chelsea.
“He has options, even now when I talk to him he has options, loads of options,” Mikel told The Obi One Podcast.
He added, “I hope it happens because I can see great things happening.
“I can see a great partnership happening, and possibly see a player coming in and becoming a massive legend for this football club.”
