In a closely contested Süper Lig match at Rams Park in Istanbul, a Victor Osimhen goal was all Galatasaray needed as they edged past Konyaspor with a 1-0 win.
Galatasaray dominated the game from the blast of the whistle. Osimhen had his first big chance of the game in the 12th minute, with his header drifting just wide of the post.
Galatasaray was awarded a penalty in the 20th minute, which Osimhen successfully converted, giving the hosts an early lead which they took into half time.
Osimhen found the net again in the 54th minute but was ruled out for offside after a VAR check. The hosts were unable to break through the resolute Konyaspor defence as they held on the narrow lead to claim all three points at the end of the match.
This victory strengthens Galatasaray’s position at the top of the Süper Lig standings, as they go nine points clear of of second-placed Fenerbahce.
