Victor Osimhen has revealed that he’s likely to return from his arm injury within the next six weeks.

Osimhen got injured in his right forearm in the round of 16 second leg fixture between Liverpool and Galatasaray at Anfield after Ibrahima Konate tried to win the ball off him.

The 27-year-old striker played through injury from the 10th minute until the end of the first half.

Osimhen, who is currently in Nigeria said he would undergo surgery and the recovery process could take up to four weeks.

Thereafter, he would train on his own for about two weeks before he joins the rest of his Galatasaray teammates.

“I need to go under the knife. It means I need to have surgery to fix it because my arm is broken. It will take a maximum of five to six weeks. Six weeks at most, and I will be back to football.”

“Most of the time, it’s four weeks, then two weeks for you to train alone, gradually regain your fitness, and then you join the team”.

Victor Osimhen went on to reveal that his forearm injury is not the worst of his career as he referred to the injury he sustained on his face while playing for Napoli.

“I’m not new to this kind of thing; I have gone through much worse. I have metal plates in my face as a result of a previous collision. Compared to that, this current fracture is a minor case.”
