Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has revealed the players new Manchester United manager Reuben Amorim will drop from the team after his game in charge.
Ruben Amorim started his new reign as coach of the Red Devils with a one-draw against Ipswich at Portman road on Sunday.
Marcus Rashford scored under 80 seconds into the match from Amad Diallo’s brilliant run from deep before laying a pass to the English forward.
However, Omari Hutchinson equalized from left-footed strike which deflected off Noussair Mazouari just before halftime.
While speaking after the match, Owen Hargreaves expressed his thoughts on the performance of the players and revealed those he feels Ruben Amorim will drop in the weeks ahead.
“He (Amorim) was in front of me, and he was really frustrated, I’m not going to lie.”
“He wasn’t happy with Dalot’s positioning in the first half. Zirkzee’s positioning in the second half made him a bit frustrated as well.”
“Many of these players won’t be playing in three, four, or five weeks time.”
However, Ruben Amorim praised the players for their efforts but believes they can be better as the games come by.
“They tried, but they can DO BETTER.”
“Today, I didn’t feel anything because I like to win games.”
Manchester United are 16th on the Premier League log after 12 matches.
Ruben Amorim’s second game in charge will be an Europa League fixture at home against Bodo/Glimt on Thursday.
