Nigerian music executive and socialite Soso Soberekon has offered Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, ₦500 million to face his twin brother, Paul Okoye, in a celebrity boxing match.
Soberekon made the offer on Sunday night while Peter was performing. A video circulating on social media shows Soberekon in the crowd holding up his phone towards the stage, with a message offering Peter ₦500 million to fight his twin brother in a boxing match.
The proposal comes amid the long-running dispute between the former P-Square members and their elder brother, Jude Okoye.
Peter and Paul, who enjoyed enormous success as P-Square before their first split in 2017, reunited in 2021 but separated again in 2024. Their latest fallout has involved public accusations and counter-accusations over their music business, finances and royalties, while Jude has also been drawn into the dispute.
The matter has attracted attention in recent weeks following a series of videos and public statements from Peter detailing his side of the family and business dispute.
Soberekon has previously been associated with high-profile celebrity boxing challenges involving Nigerian entertainers, including Portable, VeryDarkMan and Carter Efe.
His latest proposal appears to offer a dramatic twist to the ongoing P-Square saga, although there has been no indication that either Peter or Paul is considering such a fight.
As of Monday, August 10, neither Peter nor Paul has publicly accepted or responded to the ₦500 million challenge.
The proposal has nevertheless sparked reactions online, with fans debating the possibility of the twins settling their differences in the boxing ring and speculating about who would emerge victorious.
