The Premier League delivered high drama across multiple fixtures today as Crystal Palace and Wolves claimed important wins and West Ham were held to a thrilling draw by Bournemouth in a game that saw late twists.

With battles heating up at both ends of the table, every result added fresh intrigue to the race for Europe and the fight against relegation.

Crystal Palace 2–1 Brighton

Crystal Palace secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Brighton at Selhurst Park, overcoming a series of late-game expulsions to complete their first league double over their rivals since the 1932-33 season.

The Eagles took an early lead when Jean-Philippe Mateta found the net, capitalizing on an assist from Eberechi Eze. Brighton responded in the 31st minute with Danny Welbeck scoring from close range, bringing the visitors level.

In the second half, Daniel Muñoz emerged as the hero for Palace, netting the decisive goal 10 minutes after the restart following a swift counter-attack.

The match then descended into chaos with three red cards issued in the closing stages. Palace’s Eddie Nketiah received two yellow cards within nine minutes of coming on as a substitute, leading to his dismissal.

Teammate Marc Guéhi was also sent off in stoppage time for a studs-up challenge. Brighton’s Jan Paul van Hecke was shown a second yellow card during added time, reducing the visitors to ten men.

Despite being down to nine players, Palace held firm, with goalkeeper Dean Henderson making a crucial late save to deny Yasin Ayari and preserve the lead.

This victory elevates Crystal Palace to 11th place in the Premier League standings with 43 points, while Brighton remains in eighth position with 47 points.

Wolves 2–1 Ipswich Town

Wolverhampton Wanderers enhanced their Premier League survival prospects by defeating Ipswich Town 2-1 at Portman Road. Ipswich initially led through Liam Delap’s 16th-minute goal.

Wolves responded in the second half, with Pablo Sarabia equalizing in the 72nd minute and Jorgen Strand Larsen securing the winner in the 84th minute.

This result moves Wolves to 32 points, 12 clear of 18th-placed Ipswich, who face a challenging run of fixtures ahead.

Late Equalizer Denies West Ham Victory

West Ham United and Bournemouth played to a 2-2 draw, extending both teams’ winless streaks. Bournemouth took the lead just before halftime through Evanilson, capitalizing on a mistake by West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.

West Ham responded in the second half, with Niclas Füllkrug and Jarrod Bowen scoring to put them ahead. However, Evanilson struck again in the 80th minute, ensuring a share of the spoils.

This result leaves Bournemouth on a nine-match winless run in all competitions, while West Ham has failed to win in four under manager Graham Potter.
