Former Chelsea and Arsenal legend has urged Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen to move to the Premier League.
Osimhen was embroiled in a transfer saga in the summer in which a proposed move to Chelsea fell through due to his refusal to cut down on his wages. Osimhen later moved to Galatasaray on a season-long loan on deadline day.
Petit, sending a clear message to the striker, said, “I think this is why Osimhen joined Galatasaray. He knew he needed to go out to play, score goals, and hope that a top team in the Premier League will come and get him from Turkey.”
“I’m sorry but when you’re his age and talent, you can’t tell me ypur ambition is to play in Turkey? Nobody with his talent would usually swap Napoli for Galatasaray. Galatasaray is a transition club.”
“For me the big question surrounding his name is simple. Is he interested in putting his name in football history? Or is he only interested in earning? And if he’s interested in putting his name in football history, then he has to come to the Premier League.”
Osimhen has been in fine form for Galatasaray, scoring eight goals and four assists in nine matches.
