Paul Pogba has tipped Lionel Messi to win the next Ballon d’Or, during a humorous exchange with popular streamer IShowSpeed.
The French midfielder, who recently returned to top-level football with AS Monaco, made the comment during a live broadcast while visiting Monaco, where Speed has been streaming from in recent days.
Although Pogba initially listed Ousmane Dembélé, Lamine Yamal, Achraf Hakimi, Vitinha, and Kylian Mbappé as his top five candidates, he ultimately said Messi would win the prestigious award.
The moment came amid playful banter with IShowSpeed, who is famously a huge Cristiano Ronaldo fan and often jokes about Messi on his streams. Pogba couldn’t help but tease the streamer, grinning as he declared “Messi is the GOAT,” a line that left Speed visibly flustered.
Adding to the fun, Speed jokingly gave his own Ballon d’Or predictions, naming Yamal, Dembélé, and in a surprising twist, Manchester United defender Harry Maguire—prompting laughter from Pogba.
The two shared further jokes, with Pogba even roasting Speed for ignoring DMs from famous players like Zlatan Ibrahimović.
