Alexander Isak scored twice as Newcastle defeated Nottingham Forest 4-3 to keep their top-four hopes alive.
Super Eagles defender Ola Aina played 90 minutes but was unable to stop his side from leaking goals at St James’ Park.
Isak became the seventh-fastest player in Premier League history to reach 50 goals and his impressive season continues.
Forest took an early lead through Callum Hudson-Odoi, but Newcastle turned the game around with three goals in 11 minutes. Lewis Miley equalized before Jacob Murphy and Isak scored to put the Magpies 3-1 up.
Isak added his second goal after the break, but Forest fought back with goals from Nikola Milenković and Ryan Yates.
Despite a nervy finish, Newcastle held on to climb to fifth in the table, three points behind third-placed Forest, who will now be looking over their shoulders at Manchester City.
