President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu will host the Super Falcons of Nigeria at the Presidential Villa today, Monday, July 28.
The Super Falcons won their record 10th WAFCON title in a pulsating comeback win against host, Morocco on Saturday night.
Esther Okoronkwo started the turnaround from the penalty spot, Folashade Ijamilusi equalized before Jennifer Echegini came off the bench to seal the winner.
President Tinubu congratulated the team a few minutes after the victory via video call as he expressed his delight.
The Super Falcons will arrive Abuja via the Nnamdi AZikiwe International airport and will do a trophy parade through Airport Road, Berger junction, Maitama and Wuse Market areas all the way to the Presidential Villa.
The Nigeria Sports Commission have also announces that there will be a live concert in honour of the team at the Eagles square from 7 p.m with top Nigerian celebrities expected to perform.
