Barcelona sporting director Deco has opened the door to a potential move for Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford.
Deco also took the time to emphasize that the club’s priority currently lies in contract renewals.
Rashford has been linked to several European clubs, including Barcelona, AC Milan, and Borussia Dortmund after being frozen out of the Manchester United squad by manager Ruben Amorim. There was initially strong interest from AC Milan but that seems to have fizzled out.
When questioned about a meeting with Arturo Canales, Manchester United’s intermediary regarding Rashford, Deco remained coy.
“We are on the subject of [financial] fair play,” Deco told Movistar.
“Arranging it, if in the end we can reinforce the team, we will try, but today there is nothing.”
The latest reports in the British media suggest that Rashford is keen to stay at Old Trafford and fight for his place but manager Ruben Amorim has made it clear there is no space for the 27-year-old in his plans.
