Rasmus Hojlund eventually gave Manchester United the lead as he controlled Bruno Fernandes pass from a free kick before powering a left-footed strike home.
Hojlund brace put up on top of the scorers chart of the competition with 5 goals in 6 matches so far.
The win over Viktoria Plzen means the Ref Devils are now in 6th place on the log with two matches to the end of the leaguw format.
The top eight teams after matchday 8 will qualify automatically for the second round of the competition.
However, the next 16 teams on the log will go for the playoffs where eight teams will secure tickets for the second round.
