Newcastle United secured a commanding 3-0 victory over Wolves at St James’ Park, propelling them into the Premier League’s top four.

The match began with Newcastle asserting control, dominating possession and pressing Wolves high up the pitch. The breakthrough came in the 34th minute when Alexander Isak opened the scoring after a great solo run.

The Magpies intensified their pressure in the second half and were rewarded with Isak doubling Newcastle’s lead in the 57th minute, finishing a swift counterattack with a composed strike past Jose Sa.

The Swedish forward’s brace marked his eighth consecutive Premier League match with a goal, highlighting his red-hot form.

Newcastle sealed the victory in the 81st minute when Anthony Gordon found the back of the net. Isak turned provider, delivering a perfectly weighted pass for Gordon, who slotted the ball into the bottom corner to send the home crowd into raptures.

Despite moments of promise, Wolves were unable to capitalize on their chances. Defensive lapses and missed opportunities contributed to their defeat, leaving them in the relegation zone with 16 points from 21 matches.

This victory marks Newcastle’s ninth consecutive win across all competitions, underscoring their aspirations for a Champions League spot. They now sit in fourth place with 38 points from 21 games.
