Relegation stare at Onuachu, Aribo as Brighton smash Southampton at the St. Marys

Paul Onuachu and Joe Aribo might be on their to relegation with Southampton after the Saints suffer massive loss at home.

Brighton didn’t hold back as they outclassed the Saints in front of their fans on Saturday afternoon at the St. Marys.

Joe Aribo played out of position but played 90 minutes as the Seagulls got hammered 4-0.

Brazilian striker Joao Pedro gave the visitors the lead with a brilliant effort from the box as he put the ball over Aaron Ramsdale.

Georginio  Rutter doubled the lead for the Seagulls as he received Yankuba Minteh’s pass with great composure before he slotting the ball into the back of the net.

Southampton were out of sort from most part of the match as the Seagulls dominated proceedings.

Kaoru Mitoma received Joao Pedro’s pass, saw Ramsdale off his line and chipped the ball over him to “Brighton” the Seagulls day on a sunny afternoon in the South coast.

Paul Onuachu came on for Cameron Archer  with less than 25 minutes to go.

However, the Nigerian striker couldn’t rescue the Saints on the afternoon.

Jack Hinshelwood scored in the 82nd minute from a corner as Brighton wrapped up a 4-0 win relegation-bound Southampton.

Southampton remain bottom of the log with nine points from 26 matches. Onuachu
