Nigerian forward, Rinsola Babajide opened her Serie A account in style on Saturday, scoring her first league goal for AS Roma Women in a dominant 4–0 victory over Parma at the Stadio Tre Fontane.
The 26-year-old winger, who joined Roma in the summer, struck in the 29th minute with a powerful header from close range to double the hosts’ advantage after an early breakthrough. The goal capped an impressive display from Babajide on what was her league debut for the reigning champions.

Roma maintained complete control throughout the contest, with further goals coming from Manuela Giugliano and Giulia Dragoni in the second half to seal an emphatic win.
For Babajide, the goal represents a significant milestone in her career as she continues her rise across European football. Having previously impressed in Spain with UDG Tenerife, she completed her switch to Roma ahead of the new season and has quickly adapted to life in Italy.
The former England youth international, who now represents Nigeria at senior level, will be hoping to build on her strong start as Roma push to defend their Serie A title and make a deep run in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
