Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has advised Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta to sign Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen.
Ferdinand believes Osimhen has the quality required to lift the Gunners to the next level, and possibly deliver a Premier League title.
Arsenal’s lack of firepower upfront has been apparent again this season with Mikel Arteta’s men often relying on set-pieces to break opponents down.
They are currently third in the Premier League standings behind Liverpool and Chelsea.
“Now, Arsenal don’t have a number nine that’s coming on impacting games,” Ferdinand told Football Transfers.
“But I don’t even think you’ve got to buy an Osimhen, although I would buy Osimhen. You’ve got to buy someone who can come in and impact games.”
Osimhen, who is on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, may not be available in the January transfer window but a summer move in 2025 could be a more realistic possibility.
