Cristiano Ronaldo, the renowned Portuguese footballer, has been in a committed relationship with Spanish model Georgina Rodríguez since 2016.
Together, they have two daughters: Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda. Rodríguez also embraces the role of stepmother to Ronaldo’s three other children: Cristiano Jr., and twins Eva and Mateo.
Despite their enduring partnership and growing family, the couple has yet to formalize their union through marriage, a topic that has intrigued fans and media alike.
In the first episode of the Netflix docuseries “I Am Georgina,” released in 2022, both Ronaldo and Rodríguez addressed their views on marriage.
Rodríguez mentioned that their children often jest about when the wedding will take place, referencing Jennifer Lopez’s song “The Ring.”
She remarked, “They [my darlings] are always joking about the wedding. When is the wedding? Since Jennifer Lopez’s song ‘The Ring’ came out, they started singing it to me. And well, this is not up to me.”
Responding to this, Ronaldo indicated that marriage is on their horizon but emphasized the importance of the right moment.
He stated, “I always tell her that when we get that click, like everything in our life and she knows what I’m talking about. It could be in a year, or it could be in six months or in a month. I’m 1000% sure it will happen.”
Further elaborating on their stance, Rodríguez has highlighted their current priorities and responsibilities. She expressed, “Right now we have priorities and a lot of responsibilities, although in the future it would be marvelous to become Cristiano’s wife.”
This sentiment aligns with Ronaldo’s perspective, who has acknowledged that while marriage isn’t in their immediate plans, it remains a future aspiration. He shared, “It’s something that’s not in my plans now, but in the future, I do want to.”
