Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has hinted that Marcus Rashford is very unlikely to return to the squad as it appears that the academy graduate might have played his last match for his boyhood club.
Amorim says he doesn’t know if the 27-year-old forward will return to the team while reacting to questions after Manchester United’s FA third round win at Arsenal on Sunday.
The Red Devils edged the Gunners 5-3 on penalties after 120 minutes of action at the Emirates. Joshua Zirkzee’s penalty sent the Red Devils into the fourth round where they will take on Leicester City at Old Trafford next month.
While reacting to the victory, Amorim says he has a decision to make when asked about Marcus Rashford future at the club.
He alluded that Rashford remains a Manchester United player and loves the club.
“I don’t know. We will see. He is a player for Manchester United. He loves this club, but I have to make choices. It is what it is.”
Marcus Rashford is yet to feature for the Red Devils since the 2-1 victory over Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League in December.
Rashford has expressed his desire to explore a new challenge after he was left out of the squad for the Manchester Derby a few days later.
