Bukayo Saka scored twice as Arsenal beat Monaco 3-0 to close in on qualification to the round of 16 of the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Arsenal dominated right from the start and Gabriel Jesus was denied an opportunity to score twice by Radosław Majecki. The hosts were eventually rewarded in the 34th minute after Gabriel Jesus perfectly picked out Saka at the back post for a tap-in.
Saka doubled the lead in the second half after Majecki played the ball straight to him in attempt to play out from the back. Kai Havertz rounded off a comfortable night for the Gunners two minutes before end of normal time, diverting in Saka’s shot after a quickly taken free kick.
Mikel Arteta’s men are now in pole position to qualify for the next round as they sit third on the UCL standings.
