The Serie A title race may be nearing its end, but the battle for European places and the fight to avoid relegation are heating up.

Four crucial fixtures were played across Italy today, with results that could shape the final standings.

Here’s how the action unfolded:

Parma 1–0 Juventus

Juventus’ hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League suffered a setback with a 1-0 loss to Parma in Serie A.

Despite a fast start, both teams lacked quality for most of the match. Parma overcame an early injury to Alessandro Vogliacco and took the lead in first-half stoppage time through Mateo Pellegrino’s header.

Juventus made changes in the second half but failed to break down Parma’s solid defense.

The win, only Parma’s second in their last seven home meetings with Juventus, lifts them six points above the relegation zone, while Juventus missed the chance to break into the top four and suffered their first defeat under manager Igor Tudor.

Genoa 0–2 Lazio

Lazio secured a vital 2-0 win over 10-man Genoa at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, ending Genoa’s six-game unbeaten home run in 2025.

Genoa’s Sebastian Otoa was sent off early for a reckless foul on Mattia Zaccagni, setting the tone for a tough night.

Lazio capitalized with a spectacular scissor-kick goal by Taty Castellanos and later sealed the win through Boulaye Dia after Nicolò Rovella’s assist. Despite Reda Belahyane’s late red card shortly after coming on, Lazio held firm.

The result boosts Lazio’s Champions League hopes, moving them within a point of fourth-placed Bologna, while Genoa’s dream of a top-half finish continues to elude them.

Torino 2–0 Udinese

Torino secured a 2-0 win over Udinese in a rearranged Serie A match, creating a three-point gap between the mid-table rivals and extending their unbeaten home run to eight games.

Despite Udinese dominating possession early on, Torino struck first in the 39th minute through Ché Adams after a rebound. Udinese improved in the second half but couldn’t break through Torino’s solid defense.

Late in the game, substitute Ali Dembélé sealed the win with a second goal. The result handed Udinese their fifth straight loss and ended Torino’s three-match winless streak.

Cagliari 1–2 Fiorentina

ACF Fiorentina boosted their hopes of a top-six Serie A finish with a 2-1 comeback win over relegation-threatened Cagliari at the Unipol Domus.

Cagliari took an early lead through Roberto Piccoli after a David de Gea error, and nearly doubled it soon after when Zortea hit the post. Fiorentina responded with pressure, and Robin Gosens equalized in the 36th minute after a superb pass from Rolando Mandragora.

Early in the second half, Lucas Beltrán headed home the winner from a Dodô cross. Despite late pressure from Cagliari, Fiorentina held firm, staying within three points of sixth-placed Lazio.

Cagliari remain five points above the relegation zone with a tough final match against Napoli ahead.
