Juventus kicked off their 2025-26 Serie A campaign with a 2-0 win over Parma on Sunday night.
Canadian debutant Jonathan David, a free transfer from Lille, scored in the 59th minute from Kenan Yildiz’s cross.
Despite Andrea Cambiaso’s late red card for shoving Parma’s Mathias Lovik, Dusan Vlahovic sealed the victory, tapping in Yildiz’s return pass on a rapid counterattack.
Pisa, back in Serie A after 34 years, earned a 1-1 draw at Atalanta. An own goal by Isak Hien, from Idrissa Touré’s cross, gave Pisa a 26th-minute lead.
Atalanta, under new coach Ivan Jurić after Gian Piero Gasperini’s exit, responded with Gianluca Scamacca’s 50th-minute strike, his first goal in over 450 days.
Como secured a stunning upset against Lazio. Nico Paz set up Tasos Douvikas’ early second-half goal and scored a stunning free-kick in the 73rd.
Lazio’s Taty Castellanos had a goal disallowed for offside, with referee Gianluca Manganiello announcing the VAR decision live, a Serie A first.
Elsewhere, Sebastiano Luperto’s stoppage-time strike secured Cagliari a 1-1 draw against Fiorentina.
