Southampton frustrate City, Everton stuns Fulham, as Villa, Brentford, Brighton secure road wins.

Southampton frustrated Manchester City’s effort of sealing a Champions League spot as they held the former Champions to a goalless draw at the St. Marys Stadium.

It was quite a difficult afternoon for the visitors as the already-relegated Southampton put up a commendable defensive shift in front of their home fans.

Former Arsenal goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale made a couple of saves in the second half to stop Manchester City from getting a win.

Omar Marmoush struk the crossbar with a ferocious shot as he attempted ro seal a late winner for Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola’s men were left frustrated and embittered as the match ended in a stalemate as the race for the Champions League spot continues.

Everton thrash Fulham at Craven Cottage

David Moyes’ side ended their three-game winless streak with a comeback victory over Fulham. Vitali Mykolenko, Moses Keane and Beto got on the scoresheet as the visitors secured a 3-1 away from home.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa, Brighton and Brentford also secured road wins in the Premier League.

Unai Emery’s Aston Villa secured a 1-0 win over Bournemouth courtesy of Ollie Watkins second half strike.

Former Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck and Brajan Gruda scored to help Brighton secure a two-nil win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineaux.

Kevin Schade’s 18th minute goal gave Brentford maximum points away from home over Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
