Super Eagles manager Eric Chelle has released his squad list for the 2025 African Nations Championship scheduled for 2–30 August 2025, in Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda.
After weeks of preparation at the Remo Stars training facility, Eric Chelle picked 23 players from 10 teams in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Reigning champions of the league, Remo Stars, have the highest number of representatives in the team, with a total of nine players.
Last season’s runner-up, Rivers United, have three players in the squad, while former champions, Enugu Rangers, are represented by striker Godwin Obaje.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria are billed to travel to Zanzibar today via an Air Ethiopia flight later today as they gear up for the 8th edition of the tournament.
The team will take on the national team of Zanzibar on Monday, 28th July, and then on Thursday, 31st July.
Nigeria will compete in Group D of the competition alongside defending champions Senegal, Sudan, and Congo.
