Nigerian football star, Michelle Alozie has revealed that award-winning singer Tems is one of her biggest inspirations.
The Super Falcons defender made the revelation in a recent interview with her team, Houston Dash, where she spoke about the women who have inspire her both on and off the pitch.
Alozie, who gained widespread recognition for her performance at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, praised Tems for her resilience, confidence, and ability to break boundaries in the global music industry.
“Tems’ songs are God-centred,” Alozie said. “She is the first African woman to be part of a professional football club ownership group in the US.”
Tems, born Temilade Openiyi, has emerged as one of Nigeria’s most successful artists in recent years, earning international acclaim with her unique sound and powerful vocals.
She has won multiple awards, including a Grammy, and collaborated with global stars like Drake, Future, and Rihanna.
