Nigeria striker, Tolu Arokodare returned to the Legacy Pitch in Surulere today, training with his boyhood academy, Box2Box FC, where his football journey first began.
The Genk forward, who recently featured for the Super Eagles in London and Moscow, was welcomed with excitement by coaches and young players eager to learn from one of their own.

Arokodare is fresh off international duty, having helped Nigeria lift the Unity Cup in London after wins over Ghana and Jamaica. He continued his fine form days later in Moscow, scoring his first international goal in a 1–1 draw against Russia—a tidy finish that capped off a promising showing for the 24-year-old.

Speaking after the match in Moscow, he said, “First international goal, the journey has only just started. We thank God.” Now back home, his return to Box2Box is not just a personal moment of reflection, but a reminder of what’s possible for every young talent on Nigeria’s grassroots pitches.
