Everton are set to table a €25m bid for Getafe’s Super Eagles midfielder Christantus Uche, aiming to bolster their squad before the transfer window closes.
The 22-year-old Nigerian, who joined Getafe from third-tier Ceuta for €500,000 last summer, has emerged as one of LaLiga’s brightest talents.

Uche contributed four goals and six assists in 33 league games last season, quickly becoming Getafe’s key player. He carried that form into the 2025-26 LaLiga opener, earning Man of the Match honors with a goal and an assist in a 2-0 victory over Celta Vigo.
Uche’s performances have drawn interest from top European clubs, with Premier League sides Leeds United and Brentford previously linked.
Now, One Football reports Everton are preparing an offer to match Uche’s €25m release clause, which reflects his meteoric rise from a €500,000 valuation to €15m on Transfermarkt.
Uche debuted for Nigeria in May 2025 at the Unity Cup and has two caps.
Everton have recently added Manchester City’s Jack Grealish on loan, but are seeking more signings before the end of the summer window.
