Victor Mbaoma has completed a move to Kenyan Premier League side Tusker FC, penning a one-year contract with the 13-time Kenyan champions.
The Nigerian forward joins the Brewers as a free agent following his exit from former NPFL champions Remo Stars.
Mbaoma enjoyed a prolific campaign at Remo Stars last season, finding the net 14 times while also providing four assists. He leaves the club on a high, having established himself as one of the NPFL’s most reliable forwards during his time in Nigeria.
The Kenyan club announced the signing in a statement on its official X page.
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Nigerian striker Victor Mbaoma, the reigning top scorer of the Nigeria Proffesional Football League (NPFL).”
“Mbaoma is our first signing ahead of the 2026/27 season.”
“Na dis your house oga. You dey welcome!”
The 29-year-old is Tusker FC’s first signing ahead of the new season, with the club looking to strengthen their attack early. He was officially unveiled today, and he now returns to East African football, where he has previous experience with Rwandan side APR FC.
At APR, Mbaoma claimed the golden boot after netting 15 league goals, underlining his consistency in front of goal outside Nigeria as well. His career has also taken him to Algeria, where he turned out for MC Alger, and to Uzbekistan with Qizilqum Zarafshon.
Tusker FC will hope his experience across multiple leagues translates into goals as they push for silverware this season. Mbaoma is set to link up with his new teammates for pre-season training next week ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
His move adds to a growing list of Nigerian players finding new homes across African leagues this transfer window. Tusker FC’s fans will be eager to see their new striker hit the ground running once the season gets underway.
