Victor Osimhen’s eventful loan spell with Galatasaray concludes on Monday, June 30, 2025, as he returns to Napoli, where his relationship with the club has been strained for over a year.
The Nigerian striker, instrumental in Napoli’s 2023 Serie A triumph with his electrifying goal-scoring, saw tensions rise after a lackluster 2023-24 season.
The 2023 African Ballon d’Or winner signaled his intent to leave Napoli, but despite intense transfer talks, no permanent move materialized.
Now, the 26-year-old is expected to depart the Serie A champions for good this summer, having already turned down lucrative offers from Saudi Pro League champions Al Hilal, as he prefers to continue his career in Europe.
During his time at Galatasaray, Osimhen was prolific, scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists to help secure the Super Lig and Turkish Cup.
According to Le Marca Sports, Osimhen is set to join Napoli’s pre-season, undergoing a medical and featuring in friendlies unless a transfer is finalized beforehand.
