Super Eagles of Nigeria target man Victor Osimhen has already trained with Galatasaray for the first time.
The 25-year-old joined their training session after his exploits during the AFCON 2025 qualification campaign with Nigeria.
After finishing his season-long loan move to the Turkish champions from Italian Serie A club Napoli, Osimhen quickly took a plane to the Super Eagles camp for the doubleheader.
In the first game, he came on as a substitute and scored the first goal in the 3-0 victory over Benin Republic within six minutes of his introduction.
In the second game against Rwanda, Osimhen came on at the halftime break but was unable to make an impact as the game ended in a draw.
Osimhen and Galatasaray
Osimhen has concluded his international duty and is already training with his Galatasaray colleagues for the first time, as revealed by photos he posted to his Instagram page.
He quickly got back together with Belgian forward Dries Mertens, with whom he had spent his first two seasons at Estadio Diego Armando Maradona while playing for Napoli.
After his intended move to Chelsea fell through, the former LOSC Lille forward joined the Turkish champions four days after the European transfer market closed.
Despite his transfers to Paris Saint-Germain and Al-Ahli failing because to the club’s negligence, Napoli then left him out of their squad for the 2024–2025 Serie A season.
The next game for Galatasaray comes on Saturday at Rams Park against Rizespor, and Osimhen is expected to make his debut.
