San Antonio Spurs phenom, Victor Wembanyama recently vacationed in Costa Rica, where he offered fans a promising glimpse of his recovery from deep vein thrombosis.
The 7-foot-3 star was spotted playing soccer with local kids, towering above both teammates and opponents as he showcased surprisingly nimble footwork.
Though it was just a casual match, Wembanyama’s skills were on full display, hinting at a strong return.
This season marked his first All-Star appearance, and he emerged as a top contender for Defensive Player of the Year. Unfortunately, his campaign was cut short in February when he was diagnosed with a blood clot in his right shoulder. He underwent surgery the following month.
While the Spurs once again fell short of the playoffs, there’s optimism in San Antonio as Wembanyama is expected to be back and fully healthy next season.
