Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) secured a 3-1 victory over Aston Villa in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final at Parc des Princes on Wednesday night.
Despite Aston Villa taking an early lead through Morgan Rogers, PSG responded with goals from Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Nuno Mendes, establishing a strong position ahead of the second leg.

Aston Villa opened the scoring with a swift counterattack, culminating in Rogers finding the net. PSG’s response was prompt, as 19-year-old Desire Doue equalized with a remarkable curling shot.

In the second half, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia showcased individual brilliance to give PSG the lead, and Nuno Mendes extended the advantage in injury time.

The teams are set to meet again for the second leg at Villa Park on April 15, 2025.
