The Golden State Warriors pulled off a stunning victory in Game 1 of their Western Conference semifinals series against the Minnesota Timberwolves, winning 99-88 despite losing their star player, Stephen Curry, to injury.

Curry, who had scored 13 points in just 13 minutes, exited the game with a left hamstring strain, leaving the Warriors to fend for themselves against a Timberwolves team eager to capitalize on his absence.

His performance was crucial, especially in the third quarter, where he scored 16 of his points, helping to maintain the Warriors’ lead after Curry’s exit.

Draymond Green also stepped up, contributing 18 points, eight rebounds, and six assists, while Jimmy Butler added a near triple-double with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists.

The Warriors will face the Timberwolves again in Game 2 on Thursday night, and while they have the momentum from this victory, the absence of Curry could significantly impact their chances moving forward.

The Timberwolves, on the other hand, will need to regroup quickly and find their offensive rhythm if they hope to even the series.
