Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has expressed confidence that his team will aim to extend their impressive run of results when they face Russia in a highly anticipated international friendly.
The clash is set to take place at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on Friday.
This encounter marks the first-ever meeting between Nigeria and Russia at the senior level. Under Chelle’s guidance, the Super Eagles have secured three victories and one draw in their four matches so far, including lifting the Unity Cup.

The Malian tactician emphasized the importance of maintaining the same winning mentality as they prepare to challenge the Russians.
“Now we go to Russia, and our goal is to win every game. We’re not just travelling for a match — we’re going there to win,” Chelle told reporters with determination.
Reflecting on the team’s recent performance, he added,
“Right now, I think we’re still in Jamaica — mentally, it feels like it because of how tough the game was. But we must now shift focus.”
