Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle, has revealed one area his team need to improve after Nigeria’s international friendly draw with Russia on Friday evening.

Chelle watched as Nigeria played a 1-1 draw with Russia at the Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow.

Valery Karpin’s side took the lead after centre-back Semi Ajayi conceded an own goal to give the hosts the lead after 27 minutes.

Nigeria found their way back with substitute Tolu Arokodare restoring parity in the 71st minute.

According to him, he noticed the problem in the Super Eagles’ last three matches against Ghana, Jamaica, and Russia.

“We will make changes, we will work on playing under pressure, because this problem has already arisen in the last three matches,” Chelle said.

“We need to learn to cope with the opponent’s pressing – this was especially noticeable in the second half, when we were practically left without the ball. This is thanks to the Russian footballers.”
