Victor Osimhen needs to keep his temperament in check as Galatasaray hosts Liverpool at the Rams Park on Tuesday night in the first leg of the round of 16 clash.
The Nigerian striker is very close to being suspended for the second leg, having accumulated three yellow cards previously.
Osimhen picked up yellow cards against Atletico Madrid and Juventus during the round of 16 playoffs as the Lions sealed a 7-5 aggregate score.
A yellow card against Liverpool on Tuesday night will see the 27-year-old striker miss the second leg at Anfield next week.
Any player who receives three yellow cards without a red card will automatically serve a one-match suspension according to new UEFA rules.
Osimhen is not the only one walking on tight ropes; others include Davinson Sánchez, Abdülkerim Bardakcı, Roland Sallai, Noa Lang, and goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakır.
Meanwhile, Osimhen is on the verge of equalling Burak Yılmaz’s Galatasaray record of eight goals in a single Champions League campaign, set in the 2012–13 season.
Osimhen is known for his performance in high-stakes matches, having scored against Liverpool during the league phase, as well as Juventus during the playoffs.
