Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle is prioritizing World Cup qualification above everything else.

Chelle emphasized the importance of focus and preparation, expressing confidence in his squad while acknowledging the challenges ahead.
“We are a strong team, and now we need to focus on World Cup qualification,” Chelle said in an interview with the NFF.
“After that, in October, we can think about what comes next. But now, we need to be focused on one goal, and the goal is the next World Cup qualifier against Rwanda”
The Super Eagles are currently fifth in their qualifying group with just three points, with just six matches left.
The upcoming fixtures against Rwanda and Zimbabwe will be make-or-break and Chelle will be aiming for maximum points from both encounters and a defeat could be catastrophic.
