This list of nominees for this year’s Ballon D’or is yet to be released but if there’s one player who should be considered as the prime favorite, it has to be Liverpool and Egypt’s, Mohammed Salah.
Mohammed Salah is having one of the most incredible individual performances in a football season.
The Liverpool forward has been immense to Liverpool’s fantastic run this season so far across all competitions.
His goals and assists are the primary reasons Liverpool are on course to win their second Premier League title.
Salah has also been immense to Liverpool’s brilliant form in the Champions League as they topped the league phase 21 points.

1. Mohammed Salah’s Consistency
No player this season has more consistent than Mohammed Salah this season. The 32-year-old on an exceptional run of form from August to date.
While competitors like Mbappe and Vinicius Jr struggled with form and injury, Salah never hold back as he continued to pour in goals and assists.
On days where he didn’t score – rare, his presence didn’t go unnoticed as he provides assists to his teammates.
2. A Hat trick of Success with Liverpool
Mohammed Salah is on course to become the first player in the Premier League history to win the league, golden boot and the most assist award.
Salah currently has 25 goals and 15 assists which should increase by a reasonable number before the season ends.
He’s the first player to achieve 25+ goals and 15+ assist on a Premier League season. He’s also the first player to achieve 40-goal involvement in two Premier League seasons.
Liverpool are currently competing in four competitions this season. The Reds are in the final of the Carabao Cup where they will take on Newcastle next month.
They are in pole position to win the Premier League and are also one of the prime favorites to win the Champions League and may dethrone Manchester United as FA Cup new holders.
3. Egypt and the 2026 World Cup
Mohammed Salah will lead Egypt to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States.
Egypt have already started the qualification series on a very good note with three wins from their opening four matches.
The Pharoahs lead Group A with 10 points and should increase it when the qualification series resume in March.
Egypt are in pole position to top the ground and secure automatic qualification for the tournament next year.
There is no prize for guessing correctly who the current top scorer of the series is with five goals in four matches.
