Saviour Isaac, a dynamic midfielder for Enugu Rangers, has earned his first senior national team call-up for Nigeria’s upcoming Unity Cup campaign in London.

His inclusion reflects a standout season in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and growing recognition from national team selectors.

At just 23 years old, Saviour Isaac has emerged as one of the NPFL’s most productive midfielders.

In the 2024/25 season, he scored nine goals in 31 league appearances, a remarkable tally for a non-striker. Notably, many of these goals were long-range strikes, showcasing his shooting prowess.

His standout performance included a brace against Kano Pillars, a match where he faced Super Eagles veteran Ahmed Musa.

2. Praised by Coaches and Teammates

Super Eagles assistant coach Fidelis Ilechukwu, who also manages Isaac at Enugu Rangers, has lauded his protégé’s development.

Ilechukwu described Isaac as “one of the best midfielders in Nigeria presently,” emphasizing his humility, eagerness to learn, and ability to score from distance. This endorsement from a national team coach underscores Isaac’s growing reputation.
