With Matchday 6 of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League league phase kicking off on December 9 and 10, there are plenty of intriguing fixtures.

Real Madrid vs Manchester City

According to reports in Spain, this match is likely to decide Xabi Alonso’s future as Real Madrid manager. A loss could see the Spanish legend lose his job after the club’s hierarchy met following the home loss to Celta Vigo on Sunday night.

However, Xabi Alonso can take solace in the fact that Real Madrid have dominated Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in recent meetings in the competition.

There is no clear favorite in this tie as both teams have not been exactly convincing in the competition so far, but Real Madrid’s injury worries in defense narrow their chances of winning

Inter Milan vs Liverpool

Mohammed Salah will not be available for this fixture after he was dropped by Arne Slot following his recent outburst.
