Super Falcons of Nigeria star Asisat Oshoala was back in action for Bay FC in the NWSL against Racing Louisville.
Bay FC won their first home NWSL match after the Olympic break, 1-0, over Racing Louisville FC at PayPal Park.
Penelope Hocking rebounded her initial attempt to find Oshoala who scored inside the left post from close range.
Bay FC won the match thanks to the goal from Oshoala in the 75th minute.
She scored the team’s most goals with her fourth strike of the year.
After their victory, Bay FC moved up to sixth place in the NWSL standings with 24 points.
This season, Oshoala scored four goals, three of which assisted the club in winning games.
Oshoala, now has scored twice in her past two games against Racing Louisville this season.
On Friday, September 13, Bay FC will play the North Carolina Courage at WakeMed Soccer Park in their next league match.
