Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has confidently backed Vinicius Jr. to win the 2024 Ballon d’Or.
Vinicius was Real’s standout player last season and despite a disappointing Copa America, the 24-year-old remains the overwhelming favorite to win the prestigious award.
Speaking ahead of Los Blanco’s highly anticipated El Clasico against Barcelona on Saturday, Ancelotti touched on the topic of the Ballon d’Or.
“We can say that Vini will be the next Ballon d’Or, no doubt,” he said.
“Vinicius will win the Ballon d’Or. It’s very clear for me, and there can’t be anyone else winning it.”
The Real Madrid number 7 is set to go up against Manchester City’s Rodri, Real Madrid teammates Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe, Dani Carvajal, and Nigeria and Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman.
The Ballon d’Or winner will be announced on Monday in France.
