The Premier League has unveiled its eight nominees for October’s Player of the Month award.
Among the contenders is Leicester City’s Facundo Buonanotte, who impressed with his match-winning goal against Bournemouth and another strike in the 3-2 comeback win over Southampton.
Manchester City’s Josko Gvardiol also made the cut, having played every minute of City’s perfect October. His screamer against Wolverhampton Wanderers alone is worthy of nomination.
Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo bagged three more goals in October, netting against Wolves and adding a double against Ipswich Town to take his tally to eight goals in just nine Premier League games this season, having operated as a winger, a striker, and an attacking midfielder.
Up next is Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, who has been in blistering form to start the season. He created eight chances across October, including an assist against Nottingham Forest, and a fine strike against Newcastle.
Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka ended the month with two goals and two assists in October despite missing one game through injury.
Voting for October’s Player of the Month has commenced and the winner will be announced soon.
